Centre for Comparative and Public History

Established in 2002, the Centre for Comparative and Public History supports the missions and programmes of the History Department, CUHK. Drawing on the expertise and talents of members and colleagues through disciplinary and interdisciplinary collaborative projects, the Centre engages in a wide range of research and educational public outreach services and programmes in its service region.

Vision and Mission
  • We function as a truly multidisciplinary centre and network for academic research, training and consultancy on history, in particular the areas of comparative and public history.
  • We undertake high-quality and high-impact collaborative research and consultant work for local and regional communities and organizations.
  • We organize high-profile international conferences, public lectures, seminars and training programmes.
