Student Profile

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature has the longest history at CUHK. It places equal emphasis on teaching and research. Other than offering a wide range of study programmes, we also organize academic conferences and invite visiting scholars to deliver speeches and courses to enhance intellectual exchange.

Our graduates are well-trained with not only high proficiency in language skills but also a sound understanding of Chinese literature and the relevant intellectual development. They are well prepared to face the challenges of both their careers and further study.
